My App VU - Test Score Posted but Did not send

After DS registered his MyAppVU account, he looked his account and was so surprised to see both of his ACT AND SAT score being posed in his account.

Since his ACT score was higher than the SAT score, DS only ordered ACT score to be sent. I even double checked the receipt and called College Board. They confirmed that they did not send them.

So we are so perplexed on how Vanderbilt could have his SAT scores. Has anyone else seen or have heard of this situation?

Some high schools include SAT scores on the student’s transcript. Is it possible his did this?

scores were summarized on some kind of a cover sheet from the home high school guidance counselor for our kids. If you wanted to take an exam without it being reported to your home high school, you have to make sure not to list them as recipients of the score when you take the exam.

Goodenoughparent and Faline2,
Thank you both for your reply. They make sense. I think ds school does include test scores with the transcript despite that I made ‘noise’ about it as it puts our students at a disadvantage.
I did not know GC’s cover sheet includes test scores. This defeats the purpose of score choice, then.
You are right. The only way to prevent this is not sending it to the high school in the first place.

They will consider the higher score only. So don’t worry much about the SAT score if his ACT score is good enough (that is, 33 or higher). Good luck.
