My chance at scholarships?

Hi I'm a senior from Alaska.

Binghamton is probabaly one of my reach schools on my list. I want to go into engineering but be involved in a lot of music, and it seems Binghamton really fits into the picture.

My ACT scores: 34-english 32 math 31-reading 24-science (30 composite)

My SAT score's supposed to come in like two days.

AP chem-5 AP history-4

GPA 3.8

If extracuricular activities and leadership matters:
- Varsity letters in Swimming and Cross country skiing
- I've been accompanying the school choir on the piano for a long time (since middle school)
- NHS member
- All State Solo vocals

So can people who got in tell me their stats and how much financial aid(including grants and merit scholarships) they received? Would I even be accepted? I come from a not so well-off family (parents gross income is about $56000/ year) and my parents are telling me that I have to go to whichever school's the cheapest. So far on my list is:

Alabama State -
I can get full tuition scholarship plus $2500 a year, but it still comes down to about $11000 a year for me. I'm hoping with federal grant the price will come down.

University of Alaska Fairbanks -
I'd have to pay $2500 for tuition and about $5000 for other expenses. I don't know how much grant I can get yet, so I guess it's about $7000 a year.

Louisiana State -
I can get full tuition, but other expenses still come down to $12,590.

What do you guys think? I'm really frustrated over how I'm going to choose my college(and my future)

I’m not sure about scholarships, but since you are from Alaska, you are an Out of state student and will be paying about $30,000 as a student before any aid or grants you would get. I have a feeling that you will get in but as far as being the cheapest option, based on the other schools you mentioned and what you would be paying, this will prob Not be on the cheapest list for you. They do not give many 1st year student scholarships and the Aid would have to be re payed. Good luck though on whatever school you pick.
