i have an SAT score of 2260. My class rank is at least in the top 20% of a 600+ group of students. I've taken all honors/AP courses since a freshman. My total weighted GPA is probably around a 4.5, junior year's is a bit higher-4.7. my unweighted gpa, however, is 3.84 but for grades 10-11 it is 3.75. i've also taken 10 college courses at a community college and got A's in all but 1. I do a fair amount of community service, but not a whole lot. I'm on student council, a leadership group, in scouts, and i have 2 board positions for clubs. WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING INTO UCLA (my dream school) AND UCB?

UCLA seems to be a match or a low reach just because of your SAT score. For UCB, probably a low reach because of the lower-than-average GPA for the school. However, you’ve still done an excellent job! If you have awesome personal statements I think you have a decent chance of getting into both.

2260 makes UCLA only a match or low reach? I don’t think so buddy. This guy’s in for both imo.

i should probably add that I’m an asian female. and that the reason my UWGPA is a bit on the lower side is that the grades i get in my college classes count toward my high school gpa (it’s weird, i know. but it’s because it is a program at my school) and the one B i got in one of the classes brought my GPA down. i have one B and all the rest are A for my 10th and 11th grade grades. and by the end of senior year, i will have graduated community college with an AA degree and will have completed my GED (perks of a program).
thanks for any input/reply! it is very much appreciated (:

Your in sistah! Only reason you don’t get in should be bad luck
