You should start googling things yourself… I dont want to be rude or anything but start searching on your own… Shortlist things and then post here asking if it is worth for you to try to get admission in those colleges…

@amoghsood: I talked to someone accepted at MIT this year, he has no Olympiad medal or patent, but just like you is very passionate. Let it reflect in your resume and you will make it.

Hey Thanks that is comforting.

Anyway, the only thing I can do is make the best of the 1.5 years of school left, and build up the best application. And let’s see how things turn out!

@crystal I have done some research, I am asking for recommendations to add to the list of about 6-7 colleges I have.

Why not add the following:
Bates College
Colgate University
Cornell University
Swarthmore College
Williams College

Oh hey thanks.

@amoghsood- The thing is that those who do get accepted to MIT and other places, they are Olympiad winners because of their passion. They have got in not because they won the medals or topped some exam, they have got in because of their passion. There are twice the people who are rejected than who got accepted and they all are Olympiad medal winners. Its more about passion, the way you show it in your essays than some numbers and medals. Out of those 6 who have got in this year, 3 are medal winners, while one hasn’t got any medals with him and seems to be someone just like you and me.

Like Paayas said, just show the passion through the essays.

@Paayas- Who’s that guy you talked to who got into MIT this year?

Hey I get that bit about them being medal winners because of their passions.
But the thing is I don’t have anything like that to show for my passions(till date), and as you pointed out i only have my essay showcase my passion. And I believe that makes things a little bit harder, putting yourself and your ideas in 500 words is not easy. I’m just anxious that’s all.

^ Okay. We got that. Make best use of whatever you do have. Don’t feel out of luck.

@phr34k: I don’t know whether I should actually reveal his identity, but he picked Harvard over MIT.

Oh please. I’d like to talk to the guy. I guess everyone would. Please Please Please. Please. :)
