My Chances at Harvard?

Hello, I am currently a Junior and am really curious about my chances about getting in Harvard (or other Ivy Leagues, but mainly Harvard)

My Dream School: Harvard University
My Reach School: Stanford University
My Safety School: UC Berkeley
My Super Safety School: UC Irvine

Classes:
Summer: Health and Safety

Freshman Year: Freshman PE, English 1P Accelerated, Biology Accelerated, Chinese 1, Accounting 1, Geometry Accelerated, Piano 1

Sophomore Year: World History Accelerated, English 2P Accelerated, Chemistry Honors, Algebra 2 Accelerated, Piano 2, Chinese 2, Sports Medicine

Summer: Pre-calculus

Junior Year: English Language and Composition AP, Biology AP, Calculus AB AP, US History AP, Journalism, Chinese 3

All of them I have A's except these (which I have B): Algebra 2 Acc (2nd Semester), Biology AP (1st Semester), and I'm worried that I'll be getting a B in Biology AP (2nd Semester) since I currently have an 83% and it's almost the end of the school year

Currently Ranked 12 in my school (up to 1st semester Junior)
Cumulative GPA: 4.11 (up to 1st Semester Junior)
I plan on re-taking my SAT this September.
Subject Tests (US History and Math 2): This June

**Planning on Taking in Senior Year: Calculus BC AP, Statistics AP, US Gov AP, Economics AP, Physiology, English Literature and Composition AP

Extracurricular:
Freshman: Member of CSF, Anime Club Sergeant of Arms

Summer: Volunteered at my middle school's summer school Extracurricular Program (teach Chinese, I was just a TA doing misc things)

Sophomore: Founded the American Red Cross Club at my school in 2011, was President. Became President of Anime Club. Member of CSF. Been taking martial arts since February 2012 (outside of school)

Junior Year:
Planned and Organized a Gangnam Style Flashmob at our school
Re-elected for Red Cross Club President.
Re-elected for Anime Club President.
Became a Girl's State Candidate.

Senior Year:
Red Cross Execute Board Preparedness Officer (the board: a cabinet that deals with the clubs in the district, I recently obtained this position and will start this summer)
I might do a red cross internship this summer however I'm not sure yet due to transportation issues.

Guidance is appreciated!

Please and Thank you!

You are grossly overestimating your chances at these schools. Berkeley is not a safety for anyone. Stanford and Harvard are both high reaches, IMO. Also, do not put that you organized a flash mob on your r

Yeah I definitely would never consider Berkeley a safety.
What is your SAT score?

High reach to out of reach: Harvard/Stanford
Mid to High reach: Berkeley
Match: UC Irvine

You need real safeties

Uhh, UC Irvine is a safety, the rest are reaches, but we still need SAT score. If it’s anything below 2200, count Harvard and Stanford out. Berkeley will be hard, but you might be able to get in.

My SAT is 1730. I plan on studying some more this summer :stuck_out_tongue: (Goal is above 2200, hopefully)

Our HS has a deal with UC Irvine that if the students pass certain requirements, they would accept us (Something along those lines, I need to research that more).

Rewrite:
Dream School: Harvard
Reach School: UC Berkeley
Safety School: UC Riverside/UC Merced ?

If you think that Berkeley is a safety, then you must have been smoking some of that Cannabis Cup Chronic. If you got less than 2300 on the SAT, Harvard is out. 2200 is the cutoff for Stanford. Berkeley might (with a prayer) let you in with a 2100. And if organizing a flash mob counts as an EC, then I should be able to put that I had a cramps in my entire lower body after my first day of swim practice. Just sayin’.

Its a lot easier said than done to raise a 1740 to a 2200+. I’d look at some schools that are more in your range.

I don’t know what to day. Is this thread for real?

Lolz, if Berkeley was a safety, I’d be so happy…

Umm are you a US citizen?? A california resident especially…I was lolling at your estimates…hope you get into all but you underestimate these schools…and your EC’s aren’t that flashy as well…You never know,…

This thread…lololol. 1730? Seriously…?

I think you should focus on your SAT’s if you’re a senior with 1730 that’s dangerously loww…

Pfffff… So you are ■■■■■ or it’s your real stats?

I would say you need mid-2200’s to have a legitimate shot at Harv, Stan as an unhooked applicant.

Revised:

Out of reach: Harvard, Stanford, Berkeley
Reach: UC Irvine

Don’t underestimate the three global names you labeled as your safety, reach, & dream. Or you’re a ■■■■■, an we’re taking you way too seriously.

UCSD or USC should be your reaches if you raise that SAT to at least 2k. But 1730… You should’ve omitted more questions…

I’d aim for top 3% in your class.

Id aim for top 3.
