My chances at top college?

I am new to American culture and when I first arrived in US I had no idea about ACT and SAT. I took ACT and got 23, what is my chance with 23 at top colleges?

At the most selective colleges (Ivy and similar prestige), your chances are nearly zilch. The 25th percentile at Brown University for ACT scores is a 31.

However, that ACT score isn’t bad- it just means you have very little shot at the tippy top colleges. But there are many other colleges in the US that are test optional, or have lower stats of admitted students. I would start looking there. Is there any chance you could study more and earn a higher score on a retake?

Thank you for your suggestions. I have been studying a while after my first exam and I believe I can score above 25 now as I evaluated my practice exams. Can you tell me about Washington university in St.Louis? I heard they will accept URM with 24 and above act score in some cases.
