Hello,
I am so worried about getting into UCSB or any UC school for that matter. I just now began High School this year as a jurnior and from my sophmore year my gpa is a 3.25 and I am ranked 107/267 in my class and I am from out of state. I know I dont currentley meet the UC's 3.4 GPA requirment but I will pass the 3.4 mark by end of first semester and probaley by the end of the year I will have a estimated 3.6-3.7. I am currentley enrolled in Ap English 3 and Ap U.S. history and durring my sophmore year I took Ap World history. For honor classes I'm taken Honors Chemistry and Honors French 2. My sophmore year I had Honors English 2. All of my Honor classes and Ap I have a grade of 82-86. I also do for my elective N.J.R.O.T.C. which the colleges say demostrate leadership and high morals. I also recicived a award from the Navy in N.J.R.O.T.C., I have 15 ribbions and 1 medal from R.O.T.C. and a officer rank and I am in charge of our weapons room. I do a TON of comunity service within and out of N.J.R.O.T.C. I do Dril Team,Athlethic Team,Tennis,Soccer,Academic Team, Orentaring Team,Tae-Kwon-Doe, Head of our Video-Game organazition and founder. I plan on takin 4 or 3 Ap classes by my senior year to make a total of 6 or 7 Ap classes durring my High School term. Also my freshman year grades were all C's and D's but now they are all A's and B's and one C in math but I improved by five points. Will colleges notice my persistance for good grades? Also I passed my first semester of Geometry with a D and the second semester with a C. Will this hurt me since the UC's only want a grade of C or higher? Do I have a chance at any UC school with the information I just listed? What score do I need to make on my S.A.T.'s or ACT to help guarntee my admission into UCSB or any UC school? Please respond Please.
