My chances at University of Texas?

I realized at this point I probably do not have the requirements to get into RICE, but I want to get into UT. My sister goes there (we live in Texas) and UT is the most convenient school I can think of. I think I'm in the top 8%... but I'm not sure. I go to a small private school with 110 people in my class so it can be difficult for the top. Before anyone asks, I also have looked into A&M. I'm pretty sure I can get into there, but I heard the programs weren't as good there.

Major of Choice: Not entirely sure, but probably Computer Science

GPA Unweighted: 3.74
GPA Weighted: 4.3846

I took the SAT and ACT without studying or any preparation so I'm going to take them again and most likely do better.
SAT: 1750
ACT: 27

Extra Curricular: NHS (which includes lots of volunteer work), Church Service/VBS, Theater Tech Manager, Jazz Band and various band things.
I heard colleges also like this for some reason, but I taught myself how to play 3 instruments and can play 4 total.

Oh, right… and all my classes I can possibly take are AP, Dual Credits, or honors.

If you are in the top 8% it’s auto admit. Otherwise, it’s probably a high match of low reach because your SAT/ACT is weak

Actually, for the high school class of 2014, top 7% is auto-admit.

Guardian, I would try to take the SAT/ACT again if I were you, because even if you are automatically admitted, you don’t necessarily get into your major of choice. I think that GPA/test scores matter most for admission to the engineering/science majors.
