My chances for FSU Class of 2019?

Wassup guys.

Ok my first two years of high school was an absolute disaster. Failed most of my classes and didn't care about anything. Later I found out that I wouldn't have enough credits to graduate on time so I dropped out. About a year later I decided to go back to high school and get my diploma. I'm getting my diploma through Adult high school which is a bit different from regular high school, but I get the same exact diploma as an regular high school student. Since I been in Adult high school, I haven't failed a class

C - Comp Writing Part A….English class
B- Comp Writing Part B….English class
B- Biology…Science
C - Economics… Social studies
A - Life Science (for right now)
B - Algebra 2 (for right now)
C - US History (for right now)
Geometry Part A - C (for right now)…Online class
Geometry Part B - C (for right now)…Online class

(for right now) = the classes I'm taking right now. Hopefully I can bring those grades up by the end of the semester. Anyway, my Cumulative GPA back in regular high school was flat out embarrassing. I had an 0.7 Cumulative GPA. Awful, Awful, Awful. I really don't know what my final GPA will be until I finish school, but since I improved my grades by a longshot since regular high school, do you think it's possible FSU will consider accepting me? Still going to take the SATs and everything else I need to be hopefully be accepted. If I don't have a shot at all, just be honest lol. What do guys think? Any suggestions? Thanks

Bump. Any advice?

I mean, it’s tough to say because I’m not sure what FSU’s policy is on students that have dropped out and are going back. I would guess that you would be held to the same standards as other first time applicants, but I don’t know.

I would say that given that your grades now are just okay, with Cs in a lot of classes, that you’d probably get deferred or rejected.

I would actually recommend that, if you are looking at FSU for real, to look into TCC’s 2+2 partnership with FSU that was just announced: http://www.tallahassee.com/article/20140226/NEWS01/302260016/TCC-FSU-strengthen-ties-degree-program

I would call the admissions office though and ask. I really just don’t know what FSU’s stance is on high school students that drop out and then get their diploma, sorry.

Ok thanks Pasbal. I’ll definitely look into that. Is it possible I can switch to FSU after just one year at TCC?

My daughter just got deferred from FSU what are the chances of being accepted

Dacota, how were her stats like GPA and test scores, because if someone got in with similar scores, you can appeal it
