My chances for med school?

I have a 3.65 GPA, what are my chances for med school? Has any one with my GPA gotten into med school? I live in California, so ideally would want to stay in state? Give me your opinion please? Haven’t taken the MCAT yet, but what should I aim for?

Is your 3.65 a cumulative GPA for 1,2,3, 4 years of college? What’s your science or sGPA (ie, your grades in all bio, math, chem, physics courses taken). Honestly without an actual MCAT score, nobody is going to venture a guess into your chances. And stating how you’ve done on practice MCATs isn’t very helpful. Telling you to shoot for this MCAT and combining it with a 3.65 GPA does not mean that you’ll be accepted anywhere. Your chances at any med school involves how competitive you are when looking at your overall application. Your ECs, your PS, how well you interview, LORs are going to count big time as to your chances at any med school, more so at the highly, highly competitive CA schools. Also understand that of the CA students who actually make it through the premed gauntlet and start med school, over 60% will start OOS. Take the MCAT, do as best as you can, offer more background (eg ECs) and you’ll get a better answer to what are your chances. Good luck

What year are you? Are you a URM?

If you’re white or asian, your GPA will likely keep you out of a Calif MD school. Calif just has too many high stats premeds.

what are your medically related ECs?

Are you open to going to a DO school?

when are you taking the MCAT?
