Hello everyone. Firstly, I wish everyone on this audition journey the best of luck. I know the waiting is the worst part, and I can definitely say that I know how you feel!
Regarding NYU, I know the demands for academics is extremely high. My GPA is 97.1, but my SAT score is 1500. I have already auditioned at the school back in January, but was wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not I still have a chance of being admitted to the school? Even if my audition went well? I am worried that my SAT is the one factor that will prevent my acceptance into the Tisch Program.
Your SAT is low. If you look at a scatter graph of average scores (which you can find by googling “NYU SAT”) you will see that most of the dots in that range are denied. BUT, I do know they fight for people they want- so I hope you wowed them at your audition! BAL
@Guppie - In general, yes. You hear stories about Tisch faculty fighting for someone if there stats are low, and sometimes it works. But for the vast majority, you need to be accepted academically OUTSIDE the audition process. After all, a student will have at least 2 classes every semester outside of Tisch, and NYU wants them to be able to be successful in those classes too.
