I have 3.39 gpa right now, which seems a bit
low as chemical engineering major. Also, the
main reason my gpa is low is due to one
semester pretty much. That one semester, i got three C’s in Calc 1, biology, and gen chem for personal reasons and this brought my gpa down a lot. What are your opinions on my
chances at UCR, UCI, and CPP? I would really appreciate any feedback. I’m hoping for UCR as a safety one if I don’t get accepted anywhere else.
I will have completed most of my prerequisites that are offered at my CCC. I got B’s in Calc 2, Calc 3, and Gen chem ll. I got an A in the first physics series course. Hoping for an A in Differential Equations and physics this semester I have completed IGETC and the Golden Four.
What else? If you want chances, then post all of your stats such as SAT I and II scores, ACT, APs taken, community college classes taken, etc.
I would really be grateful if someone could give me some feedback. I’m hoping my chances are high for UCR and I have a good chance for UCI.
@awesomepolyglot: OP is a transfer not a Freshman applicant. SAT scores are not considered for transfers.
@teerpnam9595: Are you tagging to UCR? This would give you a guarantee. The TAG GPA requirement is 3.0 which you meet. I think you have a decent chance at CPP also. The tough admit will be UCI.
Good Luck.
@Gumbymom the most unfortunate part is that I did tag UCR during the filing period. I checked that it was submitted but now the status says “started-not submitted”. I have no idea what happened or what I did. I don’t think something so foolish has happened to anyone else. I’m really hoping to get into at least CPP and UCR. I hope my personal statement has some impact.
Thanks for your response!
I suggest you post on the UC transfer thread. Many more knowledgeable posters may be able to explain the issue with your TAG.

@Gumbymom thanks I shall try that too
