my chances of getting into wharton

<p>after reading a few threads, my chances don't look so great, but i thought i would ask anyway. i don't have the grades and sat scores of most wharton applicants, but i do a lot in other areas, which i'm hoping will shine through. i do a lot for the school and the community. im applying early decision, because i know wharton is a super reach. please give me some feedback</p>

<p>SAT Combined Score: 2100
taking my sat subject tests for us history, math 2, and french on oct 1 and retaking sats nov 5 because i know i can do much better. but that is not in time for ED</p>

<p>AP Psych Exam: 5
this year: AP Euro History, AP French V, AP English Lit/Composition, and AP Calc AB
My school does not offer many APs outside the Science field</p>

<p>GPA: 4.000</p>

<p>DECA: 3 years first place at districts, 3rd place at states 2010, 1st place at states 2011, 2nd place at internationals 2011</p>

<p>leadership and extra curriculars:
4 years as class president
track captainship both winter and spring
president of DECA for my school grades 11 and 12, officer position grade 10
3 years of basketball coaching
deans council for the school
varsity track since freshman year
national honors society 11 and 12</p>

<p>a HUGE factor in admissions is the essay portion. your stats are good enough for admittance, but you need need need to portray your personality flawlessly through your essays. do it through creativity, anecdotes, whatever you need. but penn looks for people with great social qualities, so they usually rely heavily on the essays (after eliminating those who simply could not handle penn’s workload).</p>
