Thanks!

The thing makes you stand out(a little bit) is your perfect GPA, I need your AP scores for previous years to have a better judgment.
For ChaplHill and Mich, you have good chances 70%
All the rest are quite impredictable, You are quite in the range, but your SAT2 scores need to be a little better.
Duke%UPen :40 %
The rest :25%

I've only taken 2 AP tests:

World History - 4
US History - 4

I think those scores are not impressive enough for competitive schools you chose.
But the rest are quite good.
Chapel Hill & Umich: 70%
Duke&UPen:33%
Harvard,Princeton,Stanford:20%
Do your best, get straight As for hard classes your're taking, that will increase your chances.
Good luck,man.

college, where in kentucky are you from?

i'm from lexington

cool. dunbar kid?

in my humble opinion, i think mich, unc-ch, and penn are looking good. duke is a little more of a reach, and harvard/princeton/stanford are high reaches (as they are for everyone).

thanks.

haha, sorry, i go to one of the Other lexington high schools - Lafayette.

lol,i personally think that it's better than dunbar.

i think most of the people who have responded are too pessimistic. I think u have a pretty good chance at all those colleges. Btw, UPenn is harder to get into than Duke and Stanford. The list of toughest to get into goes:

MIT

Princeton

Cal Tech

Yale

Harvard

UPenn

Stanford

Swarthmore

Duke

Columbia College

Georgetown

Brown

Pomona

Amherst

Dartmouth

UC Berkeley

Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering

Harvey Mudd

Emory

UVA

This list comes from Princeton Review, but I've seen other lists from other sources and they're generally around the same.

good luck!

foolbizkit7,
Penn is definitely not "harder" to get in than Stanford. I'm not trying to bash Penn, but the admit rate for Stanford is much lower. Lets just say that both schools are very tough to get into.

college,
Your extraodinary leadership/great GPA/rank give you a great chance at every single one of those schools.

I'm from KY as well... KY rules!

well, thank you.
lol

e_l
yes, that may be true but admit rate doesn't determine how tough the school is to get into. It also depends on many other factors like how many people are admitted total and the type of applicants in the applicant pool. Many more people apply to Stanford because it is just a popular school. Many people who don't have the stats for Stanford apply anyways because 1)it's in California 2)they think that since they don't look at freshmen grades, they magically have a better chance to get in 3)people who apply to UC's, especially Berkeley, usually apply to Stanford as well. Thus, the number of underqualified applicants that apply to Stanford brings the admit rate down. UPenn on the other hand receives less mediocre applicants because it doesn't have as high of a "cool" factor as Stanford. UPenn's applicants are mostly qualified or overqualified for the school, therefore competition is greater.
