Colleges that I'm looking for:
UCB / UCLA / Stanford / CIT / MIT / Johns Hopkins

Thanks!

any actual safetys

Most of my knowledge is based off of the senior acceptance threads throughout the site. Schools like UCB, MIT, and Stanford are unpredictable with great grades, awards, and ECs. My diagnosis:
UCB - very slight reach
UCLA - match
Stanford - reach
CIT - don't know much about this school
MIT - reach
JHU - very slight reach

UCB- match
UCLA- match
Johns Hopkins- low reach/match
CIT- reach
MIT- reach
Stanford- higher reach

i;m knda new here.... what does "reach" mean? does it mean that it's hard for me to get into the college? if it does, how much would my improved SAT score help?

Reach means thats it's a somehwat tossup like as in they are not sure if its a low reach thats better than a high reach. Your SAT might matter more to some schools than others, for instance at MIT it will matter more than at others. Hope that helps.

Thanks, sdrawkcabdelleps, that was helpful.
Is there anything that i can do to increase my chances at those "reach" schools? or is it too late? (i know for sure that i'm retaking SAT in the fall)
BTW, i forgot to mention volunteer work at local library (110hrs.)....

thanks in advance
