My chances?

Sorry guys but would it be alright if you chanced me?

My GPA unweighted in like a 2.78. Yes it sucks I know :(. Weighted its like a 3.02. I took some honors and AP courses. Freshman year I got 2 C's so my GPA weighted was a 2.96. Softmore year weighted it was a 3.17. Junior year was 2 C's and weighted GPA was a 2.9 something. To be fair it was a competative public HS but that doesn't matter.

My SATS are better. W 700, M 610, CR 710, coming out to a 2020. SAT II World History was a 760, Literature a 640.

I have some decent EC's (peer mediator, basketball, wrestling, model UN, speech debate champion :), a few jobs).

I can write some good essays. For a major I'm thinking International Relations, maybe political science.

My chances (in no order):

University of the Pacific
George Mason University
Quinnipiac
Boston University
Northeastern
University of San Diego
Umass Amherst
Temple University
George Washington University (heh)
American University
UMD College Park
VCU

Nice SAT Scores! but your GPA will definitely weigh you down, even if you do take honors/AP's

Quinnipiac...safety
Boston University...reach primarily because of GPA
Northeastern...same as above
Temple University...safety
George Washington University (heh)...same as BU
American University...same as BU
UMD College Park...overall reach if you're out-of-state
VCU...safety

Try to get a 3.0 UW. I think you're capable of it. If you need to, drop some hard classes. GPA's are pretty important.

Unfortunately my GPA is basically done. However if I get straight A's term 1 senior year it will go on my transcript (not counted on GPA though).

Just to add one more thing, at my HS grades are not inflated at all. It is very competative for a public school.
