I want to major in Communications/Journalism, and go to a school in the Northeast.
I have yet to visit most of the colleges I like, but I'm going north in about a week to do just that(:
I really like Villanova, but also Boston College, Boston University, Ithaca, Syracuse and Emerson. If I come to realise those are too much of a reach, I'm also thinking about Quinnipiac, Hofstra, Stonehill, and Endicott. I'm not really sure since I haven't visited them yet, but I'll hopefully have a better grasp of what I want by the end of the month!
Thanks so much to anyone who can tell me anything!!

I also am confused about what math I should take Senior Year. Should I take AP Calculus if I really struggled in Pre-Cal? Math is definitely, obviously not my forte, and I don't know what to do. AP Statistics is also really hard, but I want to take an AP :\ I know every person on here is like a math genius, and will think I'm the dumbest person in the world for getting a 640 on my math SAT, but I really really loathe math and I don't think I can do much better. Will it look bad if I take AP Stats over AP Calc after taking Pre-Cal? Any input on this would be most helpful!! Thanks!

I think the biggest issue is finances, as I'd have to get a pretty significant scholarship to attend practically any college. My understanding is that I'll need a pretty wide margin of acceptance to get merit aid, beyond financial aid etc. Please be honest if you think there's no chance of my getting into Villanova, but also if you think there's no way I could get any scholarships. Thanks!

And thanks for reading this!! (:

Firstly, yes you will get in. Secondly, I’d guess you would qualify to compete for the Presidential scholarship (you may need 20 more points on CR/M part, don’t remember).
Lastly, take Stats. Every school knows calc. isn’t for everyone. A 640 on Math is not bad for any school but the top,top Ivy like competitive.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m going to take the SAT a third time in October so hopefully I can work on those…
Thanks so much!
