Hey everyone! I think I've finalized my college list, but I'm iffy about some of the out of state ones I'm applying to. I'm not sure if some of these are worth applying to out of state considering cost. I live in Seattle, so I'm applying in state to: Gonzaga University, University of Washington, and Seattle U. Out of state, I'm considering Boston U, U of Mich, and Columbia as my reach. I had Wesleyan on there, but I looked at it a bit more and it wasn't for me. I think I need a medium-large fun, diverse, but still academically rigorous school for my comfort.
I want to do pre-med, I have solid EC's (I don't want to list everything), 2100 SAT, 3.99 GPA, and I'm Muslim so I would prefer to go somewhere where I know there's a large Muslim community around.
Are there any schools you suggest considering? Thanks!

Run the Net Price Calculator at each university’s website, and then talk with your parents about whether or not your family can come up with at least that much money every year. If you are truly serious about med school, you will want to get through your undergrad degree with as little expense as possible.

Gonzaga and Seattle U. are private, aren’t they? So they might cost as much as some more selective schools. It seems a shame to only have one reach. Michigan and Boston U. are good ideas for high matches/low reaches. And Michigan may not cost as much as a private school although it’s no bargain for out-of-state students. Johns Hopkins would might be interesting as a low reach. It sounds like you prefer cities. Maybe look at Northwestern which is slightly easier than Columbia to get into.
