My current situation + self-studying.

Alright, so I just started my sophomore year and I signed up for AP World, Euro, and Stats. Now the school doesn't offer AP Euro because not enough students signed up. Because my school doesn't offer too many more AP's that I'm interested in, I want to self-study some. Has anyone self-studied AP Euro, and if you have what books did you use and how hard was it? I also thought about studying Environmental Science because I'm interested in that kind of stuff and I heard it was pretty easy. I have never self-studied so I don't really know how to go about it, but I know I have to let someone know what exams I want to take when the time comes.

So between taking World and Stats and studying Euro and ES on top of other advanced classes, would I be over worked? My World and Stats classes seem like they're going to be pretty easy. I still have 2 more years to take more AP's so I'm not really in a rush to take every AP I possibly can, like some people on here. I want to have free time and enjoy high school and my life lol.

Well I guess that's about it, thanks for any advice you can give me!

no replies? ahh, whatever i'll find my answer somewhere i'm sure.

The amount of work you get would obviously depend on your school/teachers. We can't help you out in that respect. The APs you listed are generally on the easy side though. I'd recommend you do it.

i think Euro would be difficult and would require a lot of self discipline if not backed up by a teacher, but Env Sci is doable.

thanks, i should probably add that i really like history. i have lots of books on history and stuff like that. would my strong interest make it any easier?

Obviously it would. If you enjoy reading about history, it won't be as hard for you to make yourself study. The only reason self studying any AP would be hard is if the person studying didn't enjoy the material.

alright, i'm just going for it. now i kind of feel dumb asking some of these questions. i forgot about this thread i found before about self-studying. it answers some of my questions. lol.

thanks for the replies anyway guys!
