My Disclosure Statement on sutdentloans.gov doesn't reflect my true amount of federal loans

I qualified for $5,500 in subsidized Stafford loans, and $7,000 in unsubsidized loans. On my online school account, I was able to accept the full amount ($12,500) and was given disbursement dates as well. I just recently logged into studentloans.gov and checked my Disclosure Statement. On the statment, it listed the amount of loans I was receiving. The amount of subsidized loans was correct, however the unsubsidized amount was $0, despite my school informing me online that I would be receiving the full amount. Why is there this discrepancy between my school and studentloans.gov? Should I be concerned about not receiving the $7000? I called the customer support number for studentloans.gov and a rep told me something along the lines of “the school is the one who handles loan amounts/disbursments” and that they had no idea why the amount would read $0.

I don’t know. Are you just starting school now, so maybe studentloans.gov doesn’t have all of the loans listed yet?

But what is going to be dispersed to the school is not going to be $12,500, it will be with the origination fee subtracted from the full amount.

And divided into two semesters.^^

Are you doing Cal Poly online?

If so, then isn’t the Cal Grant covering tuition…AND…aren’t you getting a Pell Grant? And, doesn’t Cal Grant B cover more than just tuition?

If so, then maybe that’s why you’re not getting all those loans.

I’m a transfer student and I was awarded a Cal Grant B award. On bronco direct I can only see federal aid, cal grant isn’t there. Should I be concerned?
