<p>dude, I totally understand where you are coming from. I pretty much hated freshman year. I had a decent group of friends and did well in terms of grades, but I never really felt like I belonged. But now, I just finished up sophomore year, and I could not be happier. Couple of things that changed sophomore year:
-I moved off campus and lived with 2 good friends. Its not that living offcampus made me any happier, but living in my own place with friends helped with any loneliness issues I had before
- I got waaay more involved (did volunteer work and joined a fraternity)
- I tried to go out as much as possible ( literally I was out every thursday and saturday, unless I had a major exam or project etc)</p>
<p>The combination of all of these really made for the best year in a while. I had a ridiculous amount of fun, made a bunch of new friends and ended up doing better academically than last year. So don’t lose hope bud, just try and make an effort to have a good time, and you’ll see it all works out in the end.</p>
