Thank u!

I'd say she has an excellent shot at both schools. However, it all comes down to the essay. I had similar stats to hers when I applied to Northwestern last year and I got rejected, which I assume has to be because I wrote a **** essay at the last minute...I took a chance and it didn't pay off. (However, it was the ONLY school I was rejected from...even among other similarly competitive schools)

I didn't apply to Cornell because I wasn't interested in liberal arts or anything that they offerred (communications student - applied as journalism major), however, all my friends told me that I would have been accepted, and I would say she has a good shot there because Cornell is by far the easiest of the Ivys to be accepted to.

If she goes there she will be my neighbor! Haha, Ithaca is a great, quaint little college town.

that is all the EC she has

I know it's a little weak, and her stats aren't top top.

any other opinions , please?

thanks

i got admitted to both, i think she stands a good chance at both. BTW, Cornell Arts/Sciences is a lil harder to get into Northwestern Weinberg Arts/Sciences. Cornell's arts/sciences is like 21 acceptance rate and northwestern is around 29-30 percent.

There is nothing very unique, but the rank and test scores should help. Both are still very competitive.

Northwestern: 50%
Cornell: 40%
