My high school school doesn't send transcripts to colleges...

and the college says it won't be official unless it's sent from the high school.

What do I do?

Do they send transcripts to anyone? Or how does anyone at your school get an official transcript from the school for any purpose?

You could apply to “trust but verify later” schools (mostly public schools) that use self-reported courses and grades and only ask for official transcripts if you matriculate, but if your high school refuses to send transcripts then, that is still a problem.

Can you personally get/buy a copy of it? Is it sealed when you get/buy it?

If not, have your guidance counselor (whose name will be on your application) seal it for you (stuff it in an envelope and sign where it’s closed at), and then mail it from your home address… Heck, you could do this and then just put the school’s address on the return address part, or even get the receptionist to let you use her stamp… If you go about things the right way, people will almost always agree to things.

Are you in the U.S.? If so, I bet your high school sends hundreds–thousands, unless it’s small–of transcripts to colleges every year, and you’ve had a misconmunication with somebody at school.

Many of the students who just graduated are going to college, right? Find out how they handled the transcript issue.

Many high schools don’t “send” them in the traditional sense of putting them in an envelope and sending through the US mail. They use a software system such as Naviance that sends them electronically. Is that perhaps the source of confusion?
