Class of mid-300s
1 MIT
2 Princeton
1 UPenn (or maybe JHU or UChi)

That's all I really know of.

Wait...are you calling Vanessa Bermundez an idiot? C'mon.

For a suburban Canadian high school...

1 person 3 years ago went to Dartmouth
1 person 2 years ago went to UCLA
1 person this year going to Cornell

And hopefully at least 1 person next year (i.e. me) goes somewhere haha...

Interesting observations.

Sanders listed 207 students from my graduating class. Out of these 207, 48 are going to colleges either in the top 25 usnews national universities or LACs. That's roughly 23%. Judging by this statistic, if you are in the top 23% of your class at my school (top 100 out of 420 or so), then you have a great chance of attending a top tier school (top 25 nat'l/lac).

16 of these 207 students are attending Ivy League schools next year. That's approximately 8%. Since about half of my school's senior class was tallied, you can estimate that around 30 kids are going to Ivy League schools for the class of 2011.

And BTW, I'm listing these observations to brag; I just enjoy statistical analysis. Our 8% going to Ivy League schools is vastly inferior to the 30% sent by prestigious prep schools, such as Andover and Exeter.

lol @ andover. yeah, staples owns.

Mines:

2 Williams
1 Brown
1 Brandeis
1 Holy Cross
100 Berkshire Community College. Well maybe a slight exaggeration, but you get the jist.

for us?

val-UCF
sal-gulf coast community college (literally 5 minutes away from the school, and we dual enroll classes there when we're in high school)
sal #2-MAYBE somewhere impressive

about 50% of the seniors are going to GCCC
about 20-40% going to FSU or UCF
a slim bunch for UF

and the rest nowhere.
wow. we're really original.

ncody, you cqan't extrapolate from teh given data that since only half the students were tallied, that all numbers are likely doubled. The higher end schools are likely fully acounted for, as those are the likely to be most publicly known and are certainly those most actively sought for the tally as they are of the most interest (i.e. no one cares Johnny is going to State School B, no matter how good; everyone cares that Xavier is going to Harvard.)

very good point arbiter- i made the same point to him in a message- and yes he does realize that noone knows where billy is going since hes going to housatonic community-

but there are still a number of unaccounted people who will be attending top schools
