My junior year GPA is low? Can I still get accepted?

As of now my GPA is a 2.81 from the end of junior year. Freshman year I did horribly, Sophomore year I excelled and Junior year I slacked off a bit (My final grades were mostly Bs and one C). I’m a senior atm and I’m getting straight As as of now so hopefully my GPA will boost. What I’m afraid is that if my 2.8 GPA will be considered useless to the colleges I’m applying to.
List:

  • UMASS Lowell
  • UMASS Boston
  • Stonehill College
  • University of New Hampshire
  • Framingham State
  • Central Connecticut

Most of these schools require a 3.0-3.4 GPA. So does my junior year gpa basically ruin my chances for me? Will getting a better SAT score help me? Is it possible I’ll be wait listed?

Your grades senior year will have no impact on college I’m afraid. Although I do have some encouraging news, my son was accepted into UNH with a 2.91 and a 1410 on the new SAT.
