hi all, i am applying to Dartmouth College for the last time this coming year as a transfer. My current GPA is around 3.7. (International Student from Canada), question: for my last 2 app, i requested FIN.AID.
Now i have reassessed my app and my situation, and i was wondering if it would help if i don't apply for FIN.AID. (i will have a huuuuuge loan :(, almost no contribution from parents)
think this will help with my chances?

hey i'm also from canada and i think that my average was about the same. I applied for financial aid b/c dartmouth just wasn't an option for me without some help and i actually got a pretty decent amount given what i'd expected.. honestly, if you need aid to feel comfortable picking an american school over a canaidan one or just need aid to be able to go, don't say you don't on your application just because it may improve your chances. Personally i've heard a lot of different stuff and really don't know if asking for aid affects you application that much/at all but if you need it, you need it
