Should I apply to Dartmouth???

Hi everyone. I don't know whether or not to apply to Dartmouth. It would be great if I could get there but I don't know if I'd get in. I was also wondering if Dartmouth does the thing that other top schools do (full rides for students whose family income is less than 45k a year?).

Demographics: Asian male, California, Low-income, first-generation Vietnamese immigrant

GPA: 3.95 (unweighted, grades 9-11). 4.27 (weighted, grades 10-11).
Rank between 2-6 (not sure).

My school is on block schedule this year so I have semester grades for senior year (3 A's, 1 B). I took the hardest classes throughout high school (but unfortunately my school is very limited in courses so that doesn't say much).

SAT I: 2220 (800 CR, 680 M, 740 W); one sitting
SAT subject: 770 USH, 650 Math ii (hopefully 700+ this Saturday), 660 Literature (hopefully 700+ this Sat)

EC's: not much...piano, brown belt karate, officer in one club, go to church 2x a week (does that count...it takes time. :/)

Recs: will be pretty good

AP tests: english lang-4; USH-4

Do I have a chance at all? Thanks.

Yeah you have an excellent shot and Dartmouth does give no loan full financial aid to students with your level of family income.

yes, definitely apply. If you've already filled out the common app, it should be a no-brainer. The Dartmouth supplement takes < 1 hour, and there's always a chance you'll get in. Dartmouth was one of my top choices (not ED or anything), but I spent probably less than an hour in applying, and I got in (but I already had done the common app). I highly recommend applying.

Of course you should apply as a general concept. If you mean applying to Dartmouth vs. applying to some other school, that's up to you.

Actually, you and I are pretty similar stats-wise, except for the whole low-income, first-generation thing (and the corollary disadvantages that come of public education).

You're looking at no loans and a minimal parental contribution, if you apply for financial aid.

Whoohoo! I just submitted my D-mouth application. I'm so nervous! I just know I won't get in and I won't know how to handle it. :(

btw, I raised my math iic scores to 750 and lit to 710. How much does this help me and will they ignore the literature score since it they only look at 2 SAT subject test scores?
