Should I say I don't need fin. aid?

I applied to Dartmouth as a transfer, I am an international student from Canada, although Dartmouth says they would consider 'us' as American citizens in admission process, I am hearing they don't.
Even though I need some fin aid, i really don't want that to jeopardize my chances at Dmouth, so should I write to them to tell them that if fin. aid ever comes up in making the decision on whether to accept me, then I would give up fin. aid to attend Dmouth?
thanks

Definitely apply. Between being a transfer and international, your chances of getting much is unlikely, but that's not to say you won't/can't get any. You might as well apply...they mean it when they say that they're need blind, so it will not affect your chances.

newbyreborn you need to calm down. the app is in. just...wait.

as far as i know, they really are need blind and honestly, if you send a letter saying youd turn down money if that would help you get in, then i think that might give them a bad impression. dont worry about it at all, it wont effect their decision. i wish you the best of luck, i can tell how much you want it

If you need money (if you do not have $43,000+ in disposable cash), then apply for the money because unless you have a major change in circumstances you may not get it in subsequent years.

thanks a lot for your posts
and yes tgllama, i do need to calm down (Off to playing Ping Pong :D)
