My mom asked me if she could hand deliver my app tomorrow but I dont know if that will just emphasize the fact that I am turning it in so close to the deadline...I was never really interested in G-town until my sister showed me her Financial aid package which was outstanding compared to what I'm probably going to get at other schools...anyway, I just wanted to know if you guys think I should send it off tonight regular and it wont arrive by tomorrow or if my mom should drop it by tomorrow and risk accentuating my procrastination, lol

I sent mine in through US Mail today (first class, regular one), and the postoffice lady told me that even you paid for priority or whatever else there is, first class/reg will get your app there in time (tomorrow). I don't think you have to/should drive all the way to dc just for that. besides, it's supposed to be postmarked by the 10th.

hah well i wouldnt actually drive all the way to DC, my mom works for gtown in the same building as admissions, so it wouldnt be much of a hassle but I think she will just put it in the mail tomorrow in a gtown post office just because i dont want to draw attention to my turning it on ON the deadline

Yeah I think its your best bet to mail it tonight. They really aren't too strict on the deadline...as long as its postmarked by the 10th...plus if it had to hand delivered, it should be you, having your mother deliver it for you might lead them to believe they're dealing with a helicopter parent. Good luck man.

Why not just have her drop it off, it will go into a box, and no one will care

It is amazing how paranoid you all are getting

If she is there, and works there, what harm. They will be crazy busy and will probably just have a box labeled applications, and say, put it there

That is it, not to worry

When my Ds were applying to HS's I delivered the applications, saved postage, guaranteed delivery and no body gave me a second look

Thinking your mom is a helicoptor parent cause she happens to work in the same building is absurd. They will be so busy, no connection will be made between her and the application.

I can almost guarantee it. ANd they have deadlines expecting people to turn it in then. Not a big deal. Relax and let your mom drop it off. It is a non issue.
