My professor miscalculated my grade, but it is already typed on my transcript. Since the semester was finished yesturday, I informed him of the situation with an email. Is it still too late to change a grade since it is already posted on my transcript?

No, it's almost never too late to fix mistakes like that.

I'm pretty sure the administration at your school would be willing to change the grade for you, providing the professor acknowledges the mistake.

Usually there is a change of grade form professor need to fill out, with reason given. I'll suggest that you email the professor describe the situation in detail and establish the fact first. Once the professor admit the mistake, the change ,if warranted, naturally follows. But it is wise to approach professor very politely.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. When she checked online, she saw she had a D in a class, and when she e-mailed the professor he said she hadn't done an assignment, but she had done it and he had graded it. She took it to him and changed the grade. Just be 100% sure you are right about the mistake and be able to prove it. Good luck!

Thanks for your advice. I'm starting to worry because I emailed my professor twice this semester--first in the beginning of the semester and second a few days ago--he didn't respond to them. He's not....let's say, approachable. When I tried to talk to him in person, he seemed very irritated. What should I do? Keep emailing him? I don't think he cares enough to change my grade. But if he changes my grade, it would make a lot of difference in my GPA (and perhaps medical school admission).

forward your last email to a dean...thats your best move

if he's not that responsive to e-mail, you could also try calling his office.
