I just checked the residents of my dorm building on facebook and realized 100% identified themselves as being straight. If someone indicated themselves as LGBT on the housing questionnaire, would they likely be assigned to foothill regardless of their housing preferences?

Yes. Go read a book and stop being a facebook ho.

Nicopico: 100% of the new freshman did not identify themselves as "straight." One of my friends is rooming with a very gay guy. And he is quite open about this on facebook. And he's not the only one... there are a lot more!

Shiboing Boing: You haven't started taking classes at Berkeley, so you aren't qualified to make statements about things sucking at Berkeley. And if that is what you think, why get used to it? Why dont you just go somewhere else? I am sure there are "equally prestigious universities" out there that would love to have you.

Well that's where LGBT housing is...

Actually, he graduated from Berkeley last May.

Yep, he graduated. Plus Shiboing is actually really smart. 178 on the LSAT. I'd have to say, I'm impressed.

Anyway, to pookpooh or whatever: get over it. The roommate is obviously being weird by asking if she's a Christian or not first off. It's obviously a big deal to her. Secondly, it seems many of the posters in this thread have been to Christian schools, including myself, so it's not like we're ignorant idiots who have not read the Bible. Also, a true Christian tries to convert others to save their souls. So to say that it's only a false stereotype is ridiculous when it's practically one of their main goals--to convert as many people as possible. Look at missions trips for examples. Peace.

Their little igloos annoy the **** out of me. I mean who do they think they are? Polar bears?

Seriously.

I think for all the students who are annoying and lack personality or just need to stop being such pricks or whatever, there are people like CardinalFocused and matt30 who balance them out . . . or try to . . . and reasonable ones like andrewtdx and unlimitedx seem to do their share as well.

I applaud you and your efforts, people.

tallkell: "Shiboing..go get laid."

That made this entire thread worthwhile. Now I can die a happy man.

Obviously I have mistaken Shiobing for someone else... thought he started a thread while back about should he choose an Ivey or Cal... still if he thinks so little of BErkeley so much what is he doing around, and why didn't he leave earlier. If I Cal is not what I am bargaining for, I will definitely transfer out. I just don't understand it. He is why some of us stay away most of the time.

DRab, since I am not certain who you are speaking of... I will just move on.

I'm just praising some people who seem to deserve it. :)

Stop digressing this discussion DRab; we were speaking about the state of Eskimos in Berkeley.

i'm an inuit from greenland going to berkeley... we don't call ourselves eskimos

How did the roommates turn out?

100% opposites, and we'll get along fine.
