I'm going to take it again in May then probably next fall of senior year (maybe even this June too) I'm just wondering how my scores look. I have a really high GPA and am in the top of my class. I take AP/Honors courses. I'm just wondering because I am a notoriously bad standardized test taker... would a school not accept me because of my scores?

USC is my ultimate dream and I know that's really competitive, would they see my scores and decline me because my math's so low and my others are just average?

Also, any tips on improving SAT Math scores? Besides, the practice books and prep courses, I've done them all and will continue to until my scores are where I want them

USC you better bring that **** up to 2100+ to have your chances way up there. I suggest you get the blue book and maybe Gruber’s Complete SAT guide 2012+ and study from it every day for 1 hour a day. By the 3rd time you take the test you will be hitting those 2000+ scores that will make you competitive.

After this past week I realized that scores and GPA mean more than you would think. The SAT scores are pretty low right now, so if you want to get into a great school, I would suggest the following:

Get a SAT Prep book and spend at least 2 weeks before the test reviewing everything in the book. Go through it with a fine-toothed comb and make sure you prepare your self hardcore for those two weeks.

Also, plan on taking SAT 2’s in a subject that you are best in. If you’re good in math, take the Math 2 test. If you’re great at Biology, take that. But do the same thing where you study your butt off for a few weeks before.
