Hey there,
I’m a rising Senior, school just got out Friday, and next year I was planning on this:
AP Lit
AP Euro
AP Env. Science
AP American Gov
| —gov and econ are 1 semester each
AP Microeconomics
AP Statistics
AP World (independently, already got a 4 on the practice, so, not a big deal, won’t be doing much)
Anyway, I’m looking to go into Political Science, and perhaps minoring in journalism. If I needed to drop one of these classes, what should it be? Mind you, I’m strongest in English/Social Sciences, and I want my GPA to be really strong that 1st semester for all the RD applications I submit. So basically, what will look good, while allowing me to pull off A’s?

drop AP Env. Science

Thanks, any particular reason why?

Any other opinions?

Drop the one that is not your very strong subject. That's the way I see it. I mean list the ones you are the strongest at and whatever comes last will be out. I hope that helps. :] See ya!

Just do it. Also, drop some other classes while you are at it. That's too much work.

Eh, I did 3 AP's this year, along with 4 honors classes, President of Debate, Mock Trial, and a job. If I drop APES, I'll have

AP Lit
AP Euro
AP Gov/Econ
AP Stats
Independent Study (AP World)
Debate VIII Honors

That really won't be all that bad.

I guess that's what I'll do then, any more opinions?

Ya I guess you are right. It always seemed bad for me because I do a sport and job every semester.

Yeah, I mean debate and the job toll a lot, but I think I'll be able to pull it off.

Alright, just make sure you don't kill yourself with work. I only took 3 APs senior year, and I still got into good schools.

Yeah, makes sense, I'm going to think about it over the summer, and plus I have to go in a week before school starts to even see what they put me in, I doubt they figured out a way to stick me into all those AP's lol
