Anything you like and will spend your time on it and enjoy it.

Some schools require student to write a proposal and have a teacher as the director.

My experience about robotic club, you need money to purchase all the equipments and money for competition (such as Lego First League…). Will your school provide fund to a new club or you have to find the money ?

I am assuming my school will not provide money. But usually there are some other competition clubs or clubs associated with some organization. That would be easier to organize and such.

Yeah, I was on the robotics club at my school. I thought that the FIRST comp. provided the parts to the robot and we had to have the tools. I wasn’t that involved in that portion of the whole building process so I could be wrong anyway you would have to find a space to build, which could be a problem.

My school has a math club. Literally kids come and teacher gives complicated math problems for students to solve (problems could come from an online site) or they played math games (or sodoku as a group on a smartboard). It could be as simple as this, however there were only a few people who participated in the club so maybe make it more engaging?

Good luck.

Science Olympiad would be good. That’s national, isn’t it?

Why is this in the summer program forum?

I agree with Science Olympiad but by creating a math club you have lots of compeitiions which you can do. I hhave been in math club and I loved it because I love math. And honorlions, it can be anywhere.

I posted this here by accident and it never got deleted.
