My school sends Mid-Year by mail

As the title suggests, my school sends the MY report by mail and not through Common App. My first semester ended really late, about two weeks ago. How will I know if each college I applied to received the M-Y report? Must I have to email or call each school?

We received an email from one of the universities D applied to. It indicated that the school needed to send the grades through a choice of methods, but not mail. The high school then faxed the grades, but I was wondering the same thing about the other universities. I guess the ones who don’t accept them by mail will contact you.

Yeah, email the AO to follow up on the transcripts. My school uses naviance to send them electronically, but it doesn’t tell me if the college got them. I emailed my region’s AO to check to see if they got them.

You can just check the student portal to see if they’ve gotten it or not.

Only thing I would email, and really would only do so if your midyear grades were not mailed immediately after they were processed in your HS, is that your semester just ended and because your school mails transcript they may be received a few days past the due date.

Also @ikooldiscovery‌ when you go to the “schools I’ve applied to” section under the office status it should note whether or not your midyear report has been submitted or not.

Some schools have a Feb. 15 deadline for M-Y reports, and I’m not entirely sure if my reports were sent out to those schools by then. Would those schools still accept the reports b/c it isn’t really my fault my school operates like this?

The university that contacted us seemed very accommodating. They gave us about ten days to have them sent. I’m not sure what their original deadline was, though.

If the places have a portal, you can check there. Otherwise, email the schools.

In a university’s perspective it is “your fault” because you should have submitted them earlier. That being said, if you have them postmarked before the deadline your fine. Call AO to follow up on them tomorrow.

@QuadMaster‌ I know they were submitted lol, I want to know if the report was matched with my admissions file for the college. There could be an error (my file in the college data base is NAME LASTNAME, and my naviance profile is NAME LASTNAME JR. [my real name])
