My high school only reported the valedictorian and gave no other rank information. They basically screwed me over because I know for a fact that I was the salutatorian of the high school and they won't recognize it (I had a 0.5% lower average than the valedictorian, and no one else came close)! Now I can't add this major accomplishment to my records, and it will go unreported to the universities I am applying for transfer too.

Will anyone give me advice? This could increase my chances to get accepted into an Ivy League college. I’m definitely talking to the principle, but what if he refuses? Is there anything I can do?

like, i’m pretty sure that for high schools that do not rank (i think it’s also true for schools that do rank), counselors must submit the highest GPA in your class to the college (through the common app, unless the college doesn’t use it).

Have you talked to your counselor or a school administrator about it? That would be the best thing to do. You could also ask about whether or not the GPA of the Valedictorian is included on your school report (or what other useful information would be included). No one can give you a definite answer on CC, so you should go straight to the source.
