So I have been really conflicted about my senior year’s schedule for a week and have some concerns. This year is my junior year and initially I had two AP classes, but ended up dropping one. As of now I have a free period where I just help my teacher do things as a teacher assistant, but now that I am filling in next years schedule I have a empty period that I don’t know what I want to take. The only things I can take for this free period is an elective, but I don’t really have any electives that I’m really interested in. My school doesn’t let students out early even if they have a free period so if I don’t take a class it will most likely end up as a teacher assistant period. My question now is will it look really bad to colleges to have two consecutive years of “free period”. Or if anyone have any suggestions it would be much appreciated thank you. (:
ohh that is tough. I, personally, wouldn’t do that because colleges look at your transcript and they want to see you challenge yourselves. They really care about the challenge of your classes. Are there no AP classes that interest you?
@hokiehopeful12 I have two AP classes I’m taking next year and the only third one that I can add on now would be english, but I feel like my english class this year has not prepared me enough to take the AP class next year. Since, I have already experienced what it’s like to drop an AP class that I was not prepared for I’m very reluctant to take AP english next year.
