How do you think my chances look for Pitzer?
I really want to emphasize my interest in environmental science.
What should I work on?

Hi, my name is Sam and I’m also addicted to Pitzer. You have a really awesome resume and I think you have a really good chance of getting in. It’s kind of weird because we have a really similar layout except I did political stuff instead of art. Pitzer is such a weird school when it comes to admissions, but they really really really want to see that you have a plan and a goal and a dream, along with a maturity level where you’re able to do it. The essays and teacher recs are so important, so I would say work your butt off and show them how much you want it. That’s my plan. PS- My back up is UC Santa Cruz, and I’m quickly falling head over heels with their Community Studies program, so you should check that out too. Good luck!

Same!! Many similar ECs and interests although like Sam ^ more politics, less art. UCSC is also my “back up” (I live nearby and have always loved it). I recently found Pitzer and have become “addicted” as Sam ^ states. I want to go to this school like I have never wanted to go to any school before, but am afraid that it is too selective. Worth a shot, right? :)

Go for it, your a well-round student! Just focus your essay on how your academic interests relates to Pitzer’s core values.
