I'm not even in college yet, but I want to start planning for grad school. Just think of me as an 8th grader planning for college - not too unusual, no? Anyway, more than likely I will be attending Beloit college for undergrad, and I would like to study anthropology. When I was in 8th grade, I thought I was going to be a lawyer lol and I had no clue about college admissions - now I would say my grasp, at least for undergrad, is quite good. Anyway, I want help in making a list of potential grad schools for anthropology.

My dual enrollment anthropologist said to go big, like UMich or UChicago. Name is all-important. I believe him. In the future I will have to pick up a book on grad schools, too.

Also, it's not unreasonable for an 8th grader to perpare for the ACT - I could start peparing for the GRE, not that I want to haha. I wish I had my sights on college when I was in 8th grade.

Would a lesser-known school like Beloit hamper me getting into Ivies even?

I know it's hard to say which ones would be matches, but based on high school I had a high GPA and a low ACT.

Also it worries me because I was deferred from both UMich and UChicago and eventually denied at Chicago and waitlisted at Mich. If I can't get in for undergrad, how am I supposed to get in for grad?
