My situation, and raising SAT scores

I'm a junior and took the SAT for the first time january and received these scores:
Critical Reading - 600
Math - 740
Writing - 610 (essay 8)
My goal was to get at the very least a 2000

Now here's the first thing, and dont kill me over this- I had absolutely NO practice for the SAT besides maybe a few questions my english teacher has given randomly in class. We cant afford any classes unfortunately, and stupid me never got to buying a book to self study. I will retake the SAT, i guess in May, and I need to figure out how to raise my scores without any classes

I was shocked at my math scores. I, and everyone else, was expecting an 800 from me since I'm kind of advanced at math (Algebra 2 freshman year, I am the only in my school who did this). I guess i wont worry about math too much for the next time I take the SAT though since i pretty much know HOW to do all types of questions.

The reading and writing is what gets me.. Should I just do a lot of reading to help raise my scores, and memorize a ton of vocab? Or maybe buy SAT books and do lots and lots of practice tests? Its hard for me to sit down and read, learn vocab, do practice tests, etc. Also for the essay I was hoping for a 10.. how should I be writing my essay? Do I need 3 examples or will 2 work? I dont think I would be able to think of a literary example because I can never retain information in books -.-

Any ways to help is much appreciated
