My sophomore schedule...is it too crazy hard?

A drunk called Mehedi walking in to my econ discussion and ditch when their is a quiz

Wow is all I can say. I say take it. Challange yourself, you can’t take the easy way out all the time. I think you can do it. and 3.94 GPA is CRAZY. That’s a 98.5 on a 100 point scale. Many props to you my friend.

Thanks a lot beatfreaks! That’s exactly the encouragement I was hoping for in this thread haha

Arcadefire,

you can definitely take on that schedule! I am taking math10a next fall as well, and i have heard that it was incredibly easy so you shouldn’t be worried. I guess I can post my schedule on here, if anyone is taking similar classes let me know:

Fall:
Chem112a
math10a
physics2a
Bio5c

Winter:
bio102
chem112b
physics2b
english1c

Spring:
chem112c
physics2c
chem113- quantum mechanics
race and ethnicity

For fall, i will have around 11 hrs of lab work each week. Physics2a is way easier then the 40 series, bio5c is A LOT of reading, math10a is easy. Good luck to everyone next year!

dang man I’m only an incoming freshman

Math 10a is easy? Multivariable calculus is easy? haha… I have trouble believing this!

well, usually the first few parts are a lot of review, and then a transition into the new things…

I remember taking calculus for the first time, it was really easy stuff

but obviously later into the year they start throwing mounds of crap at you

Yeah I don’t like having mounds of crap on me :(

But that’s VERY good that the first part’s review, since I don’t remember 9a and 9b perfectly

Math10a is all new stuff, so there won’t be much review at all. From what my friends have told me, math10a is easier then math9c. Math9c was not hard at all, I had a morning class and i couldn’t wake up early enough for the lectures. I only went for like 6 days throughout the 10 weeks, one time every other week, just so i can know anything about the midterm and final lol. I went to all my discussions though since we had quizzes, i only missed one since i woke up late. Arcade, you will ace math10a…don’t even worry. Math10b is WAY harder though!

MehediMD, you’re a chem major right? Have you taken chem113 quantum mechanics? Not sure if i will be able to handle it with ochem.

@ max_da
taking it in the spring! its like an expanded version of some of the concepts lightly covered in chem1b

Hey max_da did you take 9c last quarter? I also had 9c and a super early class that I never woke up for…did you have Chandler at 8:10 am?

lol I hope 9c is easy… I’m taking it first quarter…

9c isn’t too bad. I missed about half the classes and didn’t do a decent amount of hw and came away with a solid A. 9b took much more attention. However, if you’re in Dearricott’s class, switch IMMEDIATELY.

Yes, I had Chandler.

Whiteclock, you shouldn’t worry about math9c. If you’re pre-med, bio5b is the only class you should worry about…i hate that class sooo much.

Where do you go to switch your teachers? Growl?
I heard you can do it within the first 2 weeks
If you switch is it like automatic and you can start attending the new one the next day?

Yeah you can change and register for classes on Growl… I think you can actually do it before school starts (not yet, but on some date). And yeah, it’s automatic

And hey cool max_da, we were in the same class!

Man… I should have just taken Math 9C. The counselors were scaring me and giving me horror stories so switched to Math 9B

Arcade, nice I guess we were! Hey, her curve for that A was 85% right? Did she give out A+? Because I got a 93% in the class, and i wanted that A+. LOL. Anyways, hopefully were in math10a together, so we can motivate each other to go…since i have a morning class again! ■■■. 8-9:30ish, T and Thursday.

MehediMD,

Nice, I am still thinking about it. I think I will take Stats instead though, since I want to take a light load during spring so i can have time to apply to scholarships and summer internships. How many upper division chemistry classes will you take? Since by the time I am a junior, I was thinking of taking chem110a, chem05, Jpn01, and maybe some other chem class. So that would be 3 upper division per quarter, is that a normal course load?
