My teacher is the most judgmental, lazy teacher I have ever known.
She is smack right in the middle of her mid-life crisis.

She's from the South. That characterizes every single moment of her teaching.

We're reading Huck Finn right now. We're not allowed mention racism, even though it's an essential theme in the book.
Why? Because we're "judgin' the South" if we do.
If anyone touches it, we get a big fat ZERO and a huge lecture.

According to her, the Pacific Northwest is full of hippie ultra left-wing crazy liberals who are super judgmental while the South is extremely calm and accepting of everyone.

"Dont say bad anything the south, even if it's your opinion, don't even say that they held slaves and were wrong, why? you're just wrong and judgmental, just wrong"

Earlier in the year :
-mentions racism as a theme as part of a list in Their Eyes Were Watching God essay without even talking about it ever again-
Teacher: -angrily circles the word 20 times, tearing hole through paper- "WHERE?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! YOU DIDN'T READ THE BOOK!!!! STOP JUDGING THE SOUTH!!!!!!!" <- not an hyperbole

Actual quotes:
" I SPENT 8 HOURS GRADING YOUR ESSAYS LAST NIGHT, some appreciation would be nice there's six word on everyone's essay illegibly saying "nice" without any indication why you got a 4"
"YOU CANT USE SYNTAX AND DICTION AS A LITERARY DEVICE yelling at the class on the 3rd day of school"
