P.S: 1.I overlooked about general chemistry class and I thought I would easily get an A in the class. And I was very shocked after I found out my final grade for the class. I have a good relationship with the chemistry professor and he said he would write me a good recommendation..But I'm not sure his rec. can cover the bad grade.
2. My GPA in senior year at highschool was really really horrible. I have a C in AP Chemistry.

Could you tell me what my chances are..or could you give me advice to improve my stat?
I can neither sleep nor think about something else since I found out my final grades for the last semester..T_T please help me..
Thank you so much for reading this!!

I see a lots of grades in the c+ to b+ range, i dont understand how your gpa is a 3.7?? it seems as if you are on a bit of a downward trend...that c+ and the bunch of grades in the b range in your major i dont think are going to help much...werent the grades for fall semester of your soph. year your grades from last semester? If you are really one of those people fixed on a certain school, i would just do what you can to better the aspects of your app. that you can control i.e. your essays

Hmm, it used to be 3.767 Until I finished the Spring Semester, '08.
And this semester's gpa is 3.49 or something and overall GPA is 3.69 I guess
It went from 3.89-3.66-3.49(FALL-SPRING-FALL) and the cum.GPA is 3.69.

I would assume General Chemistry would be a very important prerequsite for a Food Sciences major. Not trying to be mean, but you may want to rethink this (or get yourself a chem tutor) if basic Chem is difficult for you, especially if the Food Sciences program requires advanced chem or chem-based courses.

I don't think your chances are really good, but I suppose you have a shot with good SAT scores and well written essays. I would say your GPA might be good enough but there will be applicants with 3.9 and 4.0 applying. Give it a shot so you won't regret it.

Did you receive AP credit for Biology 1 & 2? Bio 1 and 2 is a requirement for all transfers. Although in a few cases....some students were admitted without it...but I'm not sure you could get much leeway if applying to the agricultural sciences major.

I see some pre-med clubs...are you also pre-med? If so...you are also required to complete organic chem I and II...since it looks like you would be entering as a junior.

Thank you guys..
I was in 10% of the class in highschool. Also, I will change my major to Agricultural Science. (I will take bio1&2 during the summer and I will explain about the pre-reqs on the application) And basically, I was very stressed out during the chem exams because about 1000 people take the exams in one small place..and I didn't have enough time to finish solving the problems although I knew how to do all of them. And my chem prof said I'm one of his favorite students and he insisted to write me a recommendation after I asked him not to write one for me. I wish that explains the bad grade on Chemistry. For other bad grades(Like B+s), for instance, in basic composition all other students were people who were born in the states. And I was the one who got the highest grade in the class(There was no one who got an A in the class) I think it is very hard to get good grades at Rutgers.. I believe.
Eh..I look snobby..:( sorry..
Hmm BTW I'm not premed anymore. Hmm I mean I'm not following the pre-medical tracks anymore.:)
