Myers Hall

Hey guys,

I was admitted into UGA Honors EA and was wondering about Myers Hall. Is it social? What are the chances of getting in? I have heard that people there tend to keep to themselves. I am a more of an outgoing person/ partier but definitely want to keep my grades up. What are the benefits of staying there as opposed to in the freshman high rises?

I am also going to participate in the Freshman College Summer Experience, so I will have to stay in Creswell for about a month and then have to move to the Myers Hall. Any thoughts?

Thanks so much!

My son is also an honors’ student. He chose to buck the normal honors’ student flow and stay in Creswell. At Christmas, he still really liked it and wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Creswell does have a few fire alarms, but these seem to be most often related to burnt popcorn and not hanging from the ceiling partying (according to him). This is what I said from a previous post about Creswell and Freshman Experience:

My son is currently staying in Creswell and likes it. He ended up in Creswell because he went to Freshman College which he absolutely LOVED! It gave him a huge advantage by getting to know UGA on a smaller level. He is also close to everyone on his hall because they all stayed together this past summer. He did well in his two courses which gave him a good start with his GPA.
