seanoh, dont do it unless you are going to go to summer class, they charge you 150 just to add a class. plus it’s hella money to take classes. even if you drop it right away you are on the hook for 150.

^what do you mean “messed with summer stuff”?

edit:

got it

Ok, so here’s my situation. I can’t see fin. aid but I can apply for a bruincard and it tells me to upload a picture.

Can anyone NOT apply for a bruincard? Also, my bruincard site is kind of weird. Sometimes it let’s me go in, procceed, and upload pic, but 1 out of 5 times, it says I’m not a student. I log out and log back in and it allows me to do so. What is this? Please help

nameless the same thing happens to me for the bruinscard. i think it might just be a glitch

earlier this month i accessed ursa, I took it as a “sign” that I could register for summer classes because i hadn’t been able to up until that point. I added two classes just to see if I could, then dropped them. 150 just like that. Haha, they billed me already to. Not so bad if I get accepted, then I will take summer classes. but yeah, That’s what I mean by messing around with summer stuff

@seanoh, ur fin aid and stuff is up right? And u can access your bruincard? So I should be atleast happy that I can access the bruincard oppose to nothing? And hope for fin aid soon?

@norcal but if you weren’t accepted to UCLA, your status wouldn’t have changed from summer student to undergraduate right?

@seanoh, if that message is directed at me, i can tell you that my UCLA is not allowing me to go in ( no change or anythign what so ever) and no fin aid. Just bruin card. So scared.

nameless, yes my financial aid summary and tracking are up and i can randomly access the bruinscard. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. im not sure what being able to apply for a bruinscard means but i know that the financial aid summaries were updated today at 2 am and 9 am. maybe there will be another update later today

I can see financial aid summary but I can’t log into myucla. I get the same error others get.

Mine doesn’t seem right…

Housing Status: On-Campus
Financial Aid File Status: Complete
Financial Aid Notification (FAN): Not Available
Cost of Attendance: $32,781.00
Student Contribution: $400.00
Parent Contribution: $49,897.00
Total Financial Need: $0.00

Cost of attendance is 32K but Parent contribution is 49K?

Not getting any fin aid sucks I’m assuming they’re going to be letting me take out loans…

^That makes no sense…

Why are our cost of attendance different? Shouldn’t they be about the same? I’m at 29k

@ThePavin: I think that just shows how much your parents would be able to contribute. I don’t think it matter that your parents’ contribution is higher than the cost of attendance. Just shows you that you’re financially capable of attending the school.

@iMunster

It depends on the housing option you picked when you did the FAFSA. For me, I picked off campus and it’s like yours.

I see, I thought it’d just be some kind of technical error…

Well hope that this is a good sign; guess we shall see on Friday :/

Ugh, nothing has changed for me at all. This is depressing. Is there any indication that they might be updating it by major? I’m an Econ major, 3.97 gpa at time of application, IGETC, returning student with special circumstances. Thought I had a pretty good shot. :(

I selected the last box when I made my account, is this why I can’t login to ursa?

^Yes. Make another one with your UC Application ID OR your UCLA ID (you find this by logging into the admissions website) and select Newly Admitted Students or something like that.

hrosent1, click bruin card. It brings you to a new page. On the left, there is an option of applying for a bruincard. Click that. Anything? Sometimes there’s a cliche, so log out and try it again.
