Seriously, I never have any idea what to do when I go into that thing. It was designed by a 5th grader and is not user friendly to the least. I'm just wondering if I'm the only person who has constant troubles with and a pure hate for MyZou.

Call the IT department. They are very helpful. I think there’s a number on the site. As for specific questions, I’ve called the specific department, like admissions, honors, financial aid.

The staff is really helpful and goes out of their way to look up things for you. Every time I get off the phone with them, I think, Wow, this is a state school?

Yeah -MyZou is a bit cumbersome and clunky, especially at the beginining. I had a hard time getting the password to stick. I had to keep going in and creating a new one. Finally it works and once you can see everything it makes sense. I definately think it could use some work to make it more user friendly. Mainly if you go to self serve on the menu and then click on the items from there it isn’t too bad. Most of it’s not useable yet, but I’m assuming you’ll use it a lot once information for the new freshman is populated.

It’s easy and useful once you get the hang of it! I agree that it could use some updating. You’ll really only use it to register for classes and check for holds on your account, plus paying for your bills or checking your statement. It’s really not a big deal.

The major thing you’ll use is your university e-mail. I’m not a big fan of Windows Live so I use gmail and have everything forwarded there. It’s been a great solution for me so far.
