<p>I just recently changed my first name legally last week to the name that I've always gone by. I then registered for a Common App account under my new name but it also asks me if I've ever gone by any other names, which I have (my birth name) and to enter the Preferred name, I skipped it because my birth name is not my preferred name and it is not my legal name anymore either. But now problems arise with submitting my greencard and I'm wondering if I should have registered my first name as my birth name?</p>
<p>Please help! I'm really freaking out :(</p>
