NAPF Swackhammer Essay Contest

Anyone planning on entering? Deadline is June 01.

It's too late to start writing now.

yea but not too late to mail it in, if you havent. postmark deadline is June 01

Thinking about it, but the whole topic is kind of irritating in the way it immediately proclaims the Iraq War as based on false premises. If i entered I would probably critique Iraq similar to how Francis ***uyama does, in some ways at least, but i'm worreid that what they want is more of a flowery peace message. I mean, some of the stuff on the site is just rediculous.

That said the winning essasies from past seem pretty high quality, but i am not optimistic about my chances of placing with a tepid anti-Iraq war message, so yeah, not going to enter.

I will probably start writing it tomorrow night lol.;)

i actually dont think the winning essays were that good.

456 words in and not optimistic...

Does anyone have an opinion if it should be more about Iraq and the bad consquences (civilian damage, damage rep. etc.) of the war or more about nuclear non-proliferation strategies.

both i guess

what points are you making in your essay?
