<p>Hi Parents!
I've gotten great advice here before and was just hoping that some of you might have some more information about NASA Sharp. I got called today for my interview (residential) and I think I did ok. I'm really nervous though and don't know how I will wait until April 15th. Do any of you know how many they reject after the interview? I've heard that the interview is more to make sure you are still interested and find the site best for you but I am not sure. Anyway, if any of you parents know more about NASA Sharp, I'd love to hear about it. Also, my school ends pretty late (June 17), since they asked for the school ending dates on my application do you think that if I get in I will be placed at the later sites (California and Michigan) or do you think it is completley by chance?
Thanks,
Kelly</p>
<p>My understanding is that you'd have to be placed at one of the later sites since, of course, they are not going to expect you to skip your final exams, etc. to go to a summer program.</p>
<p>Sorry, I don't know anything about the inteview, but I think that there's a poster named something like fighterpilot who did the program last summer.
Best of luck. My son was rejected for the second year in a row. :(</p>
<p>Northstarmom, I'm sorry to hear about your son. Did he apply to any other programs? I'm kinda new to this summer program stuff so I just applied to Sharp. Thanks, for the information though it makes sense that they will probably place me at a later site if I get in.</p>
<p>S applied to 3 other programs, and our fingers are crossed. NASA SHARP was his first choice, though. He had hoped to do his IB extended essay there.</p>
