NASS Session I

Well thats not fair, lol, we had to wear them the entire time (last year). I'm 6'3" and for the first couple nights I wore them to sleep and pulled them over my feet, it was just easier to wake up that way. lol

Which company won color company from NASS Session 1 this year?

Was anyone else at NASS Session 2 last year (2007)? If so, which company? I was in Charlie 3-4.

micah - i was NASS 07 session 2, A-3-4.

Delta won them for this year's first session. Everyone was caught by surprise.

zrmvrhs08, your PM inbox is full!!

Delta won session I last year, too. But I guess that's because delta is always amazing (see a bias yet? Lol).

ha I was Delta Session 1 last year too. anzcreazion you shouldn't be surprised by Delta's amazingness

I was at session II last year. Alpha 1-1.

aww baby NASS Session II Alpha 2-5 right here!

yeah, alpha pretty much rocked.

I was Bravo 3-5 session 1 '07.
Delta wins because when it comes to the final yell-off Delta has the advantage because they are above all the other companies and have their stupid Delta Dogs chant and the triangle with their hands.

^^on behalf of delta, we take that as a compliment

^^^congratulations on your appointment. Why did you choose USNA over RIT?

Thanks! I chose USNA because it has a Navy program. In fact, since RIT only has Army and AF ROTC (unless you want to crosstown with UR), I didn't even apply (although I did apply to UR and to NROTC). My brother currently attends RIT as a mech. eng. major, and my dad is a '72? graduate.

Alpha session II.... I pity the foo'!!! :) I still remember that.

For this year's NASSers in Alpha... did you guys have Alpha Idol??

My son is a detailer for this year's NASS (Delta Co). Said first session was a good group with good potential. Hope you all enjoyed it; I know he did.

I remember seeing photographers there, where did the pictures go?

Try this saw it on You Tube and it seems to be from NASS I 2008

Congrats on completing and good luck during the application process.

Hey guys, I will be attending NASS 3.

I have two questions:

Are we allowed to have cell phones while at the seminar?

What type of bathing suits should we wear? I'm a competitive swimmer so I have racing suits, but I also have board shorts. Which should I wear?

You are definitely allowed to bring a cell phone to NASS. The first night, your squad leader will require you to call home to ensure your parents that you have arrived safely. After the first night you will probably be too tired and have too busy to use a phone much. Last year I made/received a total of two calls.

At NASS last year we didn't swim except for sea trials, and it seemed as if we spent more time out of the pool (doing PT) than in the pool! A guy in my squad wore a speedo (the squad leaders were pretty amused), though I believe that most of the guys wore board shorts. Whatever you bring to swim in, you will be wearing through sea trials under the sweat pants that are issued to you, so make sure it's comfortable and you can run, etc. wearing it.
